I got this from a web site called flylady.com. It was a changing point in my life. If you'r not educated, how can you possibly make anything work. It would be like trying to build a house with out blue prints. Make it a point to learn everything you can. Dont overload yourself. Too much info at one time can give you a headache and cause you to give up before you ever get started. It is too overwhelming. Make it a goal to learn one new thing and then apply it to your life. Once you have it perfected, move on to a new goal.

First you have to know where you stand. Gather up all those nasty bills that you are trying so hard to ignore in hopes that they will disappear and then write them down. I suggest on a poster board that you can hang on the inside of your closet door or somewhere else private (Your finances are not the world's business ((or even your kids as far as that goes)). You can't conquer the giant by pretending it doesn't exist. The giant is living in your disorganized pile of papers and he needs to go down. So get out your sling shot and gather up your stones and get ready to slay the giant. You have to face the giant and you can't do that if you don't know who or where the giant lives. Face your debt!!!!!!!!!!! Then cry your tears, get up, dust yourself off, and tackle them one at a time. Here we go boys and girls! Get ready for the roller coaster ride of a life time. Wheeee!
